September 29, 2011 yay! This is so exciting. I aualtcly downloaded the free 30 day trial of photshop and just ran out of my free 30 days. I discovered you on twitter and I\'m glad I did. I never heard of GIMP. I am downloading it as I type! Thanks for sharing this with us Lisha recently posted..

Gimp is great and free. I think it\'s not less powerful than photoshop.

This program GIMP is real and awesome! I have download it from GIMP website and it does have same feature as Photoshop duh! Yes, it is FREE! For all people out there on internet can stop downloading from torrent! All Photoshop from torrents sites are FAKE and end of story. I see some idiot post a comment here saying \"beware\" and stuff needs to grow up. So, anyway, GIMP is REAL and FREE! Torrents have failed!

Gimp is an excellent program for all of your picture editing. As an added bonus it is FREE! You can do the same things as many of the top competitors and without costing you anything.

Well gimp is good but they should have it for mac computers and not for just PC. I have a mac and PC but still....

WOW! This is a excellent program.I like Gimp 2.6 better than the Photoshop that I use to use.There are so many different tools to edit pictures.I love it! And to get it as a free download,what could be better?

Been a user for a while. Miss 2.4 for what I do. Now making a GIF is a pain. Cannot view in layers.

It's pretty good but I prefer photoshop

Gimp is an amazing program is you can't afford photoshop.And personnaly,I perfer gimp over photo shop anyday.

gimp is the best 50 times better then paint.

The install did not go smoothly, but in the end it was installed. The software itself rocks!!!! Exactly what I needed, very intuitive, LOVE it!! I am able to pick a color from my logo file, select another color from another image, and replace that color with my logo color, to make the image match my logo color scheme! All of this done on a PNG type file. Brilliant!

Love this software. Easy to use and learn - cannot believe it is free. Highly recommend it to anyone.

This program will allow me to use pictures and music to show my students historical photos with music they can relate to.

How do i use it? And can i change the hair colors and make it look cool.

I started out with "PictureIt". It is very good, but "gimp" surpasses it. Gimp is now my priary pic editor-I'm not replacing PictureIt. I am using GIMP as first choice.

Love this program, for a free download I am very impressed and satisfied, the quality and the options I have to alter pictures are very extensive!!

it is superb software.it is very useful for designing purpose.

I use Gimp mostly for scrapbooking and business cards. It takes time to figure out, but all in all it's a great program.
(n too many people here seem to just wasting time which messes up the rating..to those people, please grow up!)

I recently downloaded this software and it does exactly what I need it to do. I will definitely be telling my friends to get GIIMP!!

I find GIMP to be a very useful and easy-to-use. I also have access to photoshop as well as GIMP, and while the former does have a few perks, I must say that they are not worth the four-hundred dollars, compared to GIMP's free-of-charge bargain. I highly reccomend this program.

I like photo shop because I can print my photos and edit them the way I want too

curt, That's probably because you didn't know what to do with it. There are tons of GIMP tutorials out there that can help you. I didn't know what to do first either, but a friend guided me to a well written tut. and now I love this program =]

photoscape is a really good site to edit your pictures!

Gimp is great, even better than microsoft publishing. You can easily manipulate any picture to size and shape you want. Thanks Gimp

I love this one. I like how you only have to drag you mouse across the image you want and and the just got to paint. So simple way better then photoshop. Thank a million.

I downloaded GIMP because my MS Photoeditor broke. I tried to open the software using GIMP and get an error message saying the file doesn't exist. If someone will tell me what to do with this, I woould appreciate it.

I find it useable, not terribly good, but if you're good at it, you can use it.

I downloaded gimp and the program doesn't want to install what should I do, I have windows vista and microsoft 2007 installed

I've never used photoshop, so I have a lot to learn using this program, but it seems well worth it. Using this software to edit images for use in Second Life is my primary reason for downloading this program. I'm blown away by the functionality, and the price, I might add. Amazing such a powerful piece of software is free!

Gimp is advanced and exceptional free software that will help you resize and edit photos and even aide the creation and alteration of indepth 3 dimensional computer prims. I highly reccomend it, unless you have photoshop!

Maybe not quite as functional as Photoshop, but the best of the available free editing softwares I've found.
Actually, although I also (now) have Photoshop, I've downloaded Gimp because it is an excellent accessory program.

Pretty easy to use and I consider myself a beginer.
Worked for me. I am not a teacher I use software on a trial and error basis until I know how to use it to do what my needs are.

The photoshop software is excellent for me. My like photography. Thank you.
